What is a customer onboarding room and how does it improve the onboarding experience?

A customer onboarding room is a single space where you and your customer will go for meetings, trainings, information, and follow-ups so they can onboard to your SaaS tool, app, or service and get to ROI faster. With everything in one, interactive space, the onboarding experience is both simplified and powered up for your customer who can follow along with your teaching live in a meeting or on their own time. It’s also simplified for CSMs who can templatize their rooms and duplicate them right from the start for each new customer—which is key when each experience with your company’s services counts. 

What applications can I use in Switchboard?

Any tool that you can use in your browser works in Switchboard’s browser app—from your company’s product that you’re onboarding them to, to project management, to CRMs. Customer success managers can also add multiple screen shares of web pages they have open without sharing them directly with a customer.

How do browsers work in Switchboard?

Any room member can log into a web service from Switchboard’s browser app. This member can keep any page open and visible to room members, give shared control (even during video calls), or pause access when they are not in the room. In that case, other members can open their own view associated with their account. Occasionally you might be logged out of your apps and asked to log in again, just like on a web browser. 

Who has access to the room?

You can set different access levels for your Switchboard workspace and its rooms. Invite your customer and their colleagues to their company’s room as limited workspace members to give them visibility and access to only the rooms you invite them to. Other stakeholders can have guest access to a room—they’ll only be admitted when someone else is in the room to let them in.
